Create an Account
Before you begin your account-creating process on Airbnb, ensure that the following details are available and active.
- Your Legal Name: Do not use a fake name or pet name because you would need to upload legal documents to confirm your identity. It is instructive to note that your registration will be rejected if you use names dissimilar from what is obtainable in your legal document.
- Date of Birth: It is required that you are or above the age of 18 to host on Airbnb. Hence, the age on your legal document should also match what you input during sign-up.
- Email Address: You would also be required to provide a functional email address. In this regard, ensure that your email address is accessible so that you can confirm your registration and receive relevant notifications.

Use any browser of your choice to visit the Airbnb website AIRBNB.COM

At the top right corner of the website click on SIGN UP
There are different sign-up options, they include; Email sign-up, Phone Number sign-up, Google sign-up, Apple sign-up, and Facebook sign-up. Note that the Google sign-up option was personally convenient for me. However other options are also great. Dependent on your personal choice

Accept the terms and Conditions
On signing up, you will need to accept Airbnb’s terms and conditions of service. You cannot move on to the next step without agreeing to the terms.

Click on “Airbnb your Home”
After agreeing to terms of usage you would be navigated to your dashboard where you would find AIRBNB YOUR HOME at the top right corner of your dashboard.

Click on “List your Home”
On this page, you will find the 3 steps on how to list your property on Airbnb. They include;
- Tell us about your place
- Make your place standout
- Finish up and Publish
You will also find a button on the lower bottom corner of the page named “GET STATED” Click on it.

Tell us about your space
On this page, you would be required to provide information about the space or property you wish to host on the platform. Some of the information that would be needed includes but is not limited to;
- The Location of the space
- Type of Property
- Number of Guests, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Bed, etc.

Make your place stand out
In this step, you’ll add some of the amenities your place offers. 5 or more photos of the place. Then you can now title your property and create a 500-word description for it.

Finish up and publish
Finally, you’ll choose if you’d like to start with an experienced guest, and then you’ll set your price. Answer a few quick questions and publish when you’re ready.

After Publishing
You would be required to verify your identity and phone number.
